Category D hospital Gara Tajik is a 40 bed health facility located on the warsak road, Peshawar.
The hospitals impressive building acts a first contact for union councils around the facility, and provide primary care services including but not limited to immunization, maternal and neonatal child health, screening and accidents and emergency cover in cases of mild to moderate trauma.
The outpatient facilities include specialist consultations for ENT, dentistry, OBGYN and Orthopedics, although Medical and pediatrics run as a general OPD. The patient turn over in the OPDs is around 1000 patients a day.
RMC, along with health foundation and Category D Hospital Gara Tajik, signed a 10 years public private partnership agreement in 2022 for medical students teaching and clinical rotations. Under the agreement, RMI has started its relief OPDs at Gara Tajik to facilitate the hospital and benefit the community. With this agreement, Gara Tajik has a digitized system for in patients now. All these services are to serve the community, improve medical education and strengthen the health system.
