Emergency Satellite Hospital Nahaqi, located in a densely populated village on the Peshawar–Charsadda road, serves as a Category C Rural Health Centre. This 40-bed hospital provides essential emergency medical, surgical, and specialized care in obstetrics/gynecology and orthopedics. Equipped with modern facilities such as a laboratory, digital X-ray, ultrasound, and ECG, it caters to around 1,000 outpatients daily, with 20-25 admissions for various cases.
The hospital offers comprehensive services through different blocks, including Emergency, OPD, Wards, Dental, and Obs/Gyne sections. Specialist consultations are available for medical, eye, dentistry, OBS/GYN, orthopedics, surgery, and pediatrics. The facility also supports community programs like immunization, family planning, and the Benazir Nashonuma program.
In 2022, Rehman Medical College (RMC) entered a 10-year public-private partnership with the Health Foundation and Emergency Satellite Hospital Nahaqi to enhance medical education through clinical rotations and teaching. This collaboration helps strengthen hospital resources, enabling the provision of relief OPDs in specialties lacking qualified staff and improving patient care. Additionally, Nahaqi Hospital’s digital system for inpatients is expanding to include outpatient data, further advancing healthcare delivery.
