Located on Warsak Road, Peshawar, Category D Hospital Gara Tajik is a 40-bed healthcare facility that serves as a vital first point of contact for surrounding union councils. The hospital offers primary care services, including immunizations, maternal and neonatal health care, screenings, and emergency treatment for mild to moderate trauma.

Specialist outpatient services include consultations in ENT, dentistry, obstetrics and gynecology (OBGYN), and orthopedics, while general OPD covers medical and pediatric care. With a daily patient turnover of around 1,000, the hospital plays a key role in addressing the community’s healthcare needs.

In 2022, a 10-year public-private partnership agreement was signed between Rehman Medical College (RMC), the Health Foundation, and Category D Hospital Gara Tajik, enhancing medical education through clinical rotations and teaching. As part of this collaboration, RMI has launched relief OPDs at Gara Tajik, bringing digital inpatient systems and additional services to improve healthcare access, support medical education, and strengthen the local health system.
